Pepper broke a tear again while we were having lunch this afternoon. Something I always feel bad to witness… “I feel so stupid, why do I always make those silly mistakes? It is as if I do not have common sense..” she said.

The thing is, my girl has always been working hard to cope up with work. The long hours of serving booze on a cigarette smoke infested bar, dealing with lonely horny foreigners who always fall prey to hungry gold digging prostitutes forcing their way in the bar, the insecure colleagues, the boring customers and of course the ridiculous overtimes… and despite the hardwork, she would always get scolded for repeating mistakes. Although there isn’t any problem with the staff where in fact she’s friends with, she would always get called to tell her she’s losing FOCUS… I do think she’s on the right track though, it just simply means she’s starting to get mature in the real adult world.

Her problem is a typical work issue for me. I myself, had encountered a lot of similar scenarios especially when I started to stay long hours and even DAYS! at the office. Stress and pressure makes you lose focus and therefore let you commit further mistakes. mistakes that would require you to work on which actually leaves you to do more work than you should actually do. and therefore becoming more stressed and more mistakes will follow. and before you know it… it would become a disaster…

I never mind the problem, since for me its common. What I worry is the fact that my girl is losing confidence.. I can feel her depression.. and if there is one thing that makes me feed bad the most, is to see tears in her eyes.

Cant help but post another random blog tonight… gotta keep myself awake! there’s still a lot of work to be done! tsktsk. but anyways, speaking of work. I realized something odd today at a quick meeting we had with my boss. He’s actually a master of Reverse Psychology!

Reverse psychology is a persuasion technique involving the false advocacy of a belief or behavior contrary to the belief or behavior which is actually being advocated. This technique relies on the psychological phenomenon ofreactance , in which a person has a negative emotional response in reaction to being persuaded, and thus chooses the option which is being advocated against. – Wikipedia.com

among the 5 signs I remember since my employment is that, when we are in a meeting and he wants something done quick. Boss would…

1. mock my work, and praise the-person-who I-couldn’t-get-along-with in front of me.

2. inform me of an unfortunate possibility of travelling for a business trip outside the country with the-person-who I-couldn’t-get-along-with…

3. call me “Champion” in front of the-person-who I-couldn’t-get-along-with.

4. tell other people in secret that he’s disappointed with my work and make sure I get the message directly from the-person-who I-couldn’t-get-along-with…

5. try to come up with a way to get me constantly working togething with the-person-who I-couldn’t-get-along-with

… oh well… some random blog this is.

I’ve been synchronizing blogs all night, and after a sudden feel of pain on the neck. I figured, WHADDAHELL AM I DOING THIS FOR!?

Anyways I figured out that Multiply Blogs are the hardest to export, I sometimes ended up copy pasting the whole post and edit the “published on” option to the right to get the Multiply blog to this blog.

Live Journal to Wordpress

Probably the easiest transfer I did. here’s a brief outline of the steps:

1. log in to your wordpress blog.
2. Go to Tools > Import (at least on version 2.8.4)
3. Select Live Journal on the options provided
4. Enter your Live Journal Username and Password
5. Done

Blogger to Wordpress

1. log in to your wordpress blog.
2. Go to Tools > Import (at least on version 2.8.4)
3. Select Blogger
4. Click on “Authorize” to bring you to Google page.
5. Click on Grant access to have google allow wordpress to access your Blogger account.
6. On wordpress once again, select from the list the blog you want to import.
7. You might want to set authors when finished.
8. Done.

Multiply to Wordpress

1. Visit your page
2. on the right side bar, look for the “RSS feed” link. Right click on it then select “save link as”
3. save the rss feed as an rss file (ex. multiplyblog.rss)
4. log in to your wordpress blog.
5. Go to Tools > Import (at least on version 2.8.4)
6. Select RSS
7. browse for your rss feed then click “upload file and import”
8. Sadly, multiply only allows up to 25 posts to be exported so your import would be limited and most of the time the posts are summarized…. tsktsktsk.
9. Check on your exported blogs manually on multiply and copy the entire contents then paste on Wordpress (this could be the only way up to this moment. if you got a better idea, please do share).
10. yeah… done.

It would be up to you if you want to do the same thing on all your posts past the 25 posts allowed on the rss feed extraction.

I don’t think its necessary to import my other blogs here, after all, I got all the important stuff right here. If I had to import blogs from Tweeter, Friendster Blog and Xanga. I would simply update this post.

This stuff is tiring!!!

eheh.
